Say the Prayer Jim...by Declan Heaney
Before every match Garrymore plays there is a practice which may not be widely-known, i.e., saying the prayer. The custom dates back for about thirty years and it has always been the final part of the dressing room ritual before taking the field. Read more...

Garrymore crowned O’Mara Cup Champions
Garrymore Seniors won their first silverware of the year winning the O’Mara Cup for the first time in 19 years.
Garrymore played with the wind in the first half and went in leading at half time 0-09 to 0-03 and fully deserved their lead.
Shrule/Glencorrib hit back early in the second half and brought Garry’s lead back to 3 points but Garrymore’s superior fitness pulled them ahead again to win by eight points on a scoreline of 0-16 to 0-08.
Pictured below captain Shane Nally lifted the South Mayo O’Mara Cup for his side for the first time in nearly two decades.
