Seniors bow out of the MW League
Garrymore were defeated by narrowest of margins in the quarter Final of the Michael Walsh league last Sunday against Hollymount/Carramore. Both sides missing regulars on day provided an entertaining game played in glorious conditions in Garrymore. For large parts of the first half there was never more than a point between the sides before Holly/Carra got a goal with 6 minutes to go in the half. Half time came and the away side lead by 1-6 to 0-5. Second half commenced with Garrymore starting the better but missed early changes let Holly/Carra of the hook! Like the first half there wasn’t much between the side with both teams exchanging points. With full time approaching and the sides level Holly/Carra took their chance with the final play of the game to take the victory. Full time from Garrymore: Garrymore 0-14 Hollymount/Carramore 1-12
