Michael Walsh League Final Loss
- Updated: June 3, 2014
Garrymore took on Ballintubber in the Michael Walsh league final last weekend. Unfortunately for Garrymore it was the more experienced team in finals that took home the cup on sunday evening. Ballintubber had a one point lead at half time with both side guilty of some bad decision making.
The second half was all Ballintubber who were playing with the aid of the wind. They outscored Garrymore 1-07 to a point over the 30 minutes and were well deserving of their win. For Garrymore it was a case of never really getting out of the blocks, their performance a far cry from their championship victory 8 days previous.
Final score from Hollymount: Ballintubber 1-12 Garrymore 0-05.
Next up for Garrymore is Shrule/Glencorrib in the O’Mara Cup Final replay. Due to throw in at 7pm on Saturday (7th) in Ballinrobe. Please Support
