Garry lads line out for Mayo
Congratulation to Garrymore’s Shane Nally and Caolan Crowe who started for the Mayo Senior team in the opening two rounds of the Alliance NFL. Both made their debuts against Cork in round one where Mayo suffered a heavy defeat to a well organised Cork side. Caolan lined out at wing forward with Shane at left half back.
They had just 6 days to brush down the defeat to Cork and take on All Ireland Champions Dublin where both lads again made the starting 15. This time Caolan started at corner back and was given the task of making one Dublin’s star attackers Dean Rock. Shane Nally also played in a different role, although with number 7 on his back he started at wing forward and played a sweeper role in front of the Mayo full back line for the game.
Both lads can be proud of their displays in the opening two rounds as they look towards Donegal in round three.
Well done Shane and Caolan!
