Say the Prayer Jim...

Before every match Garrymore plays there is a practice which may not be widely-known, i.e., saying the prayer. The custom dates back for about thirty years and it has always been the final part of the dressing room ritual before taking the field. Read more...

Juniors take opening two points
Garrymore Juniors held of a late rally from Moygownagh to secure their opening day win in Division 1F.
Garrymore lead from beginning to end in this game but should of put the game beyond the away side but a series of wides and balls dropped short kept the north mayo men in the game.
Garrymor’s goal came from corner forward David Mellett midway through the second half which gave the homeside some breathing space but Moygownagh managed a late come back which made it a nervy last few minutes.
